The City of Port Wentworth, incorporated in 1957, is a small community located in northwest Chatham County, just outside of Savannah, Georgia. The city is undertaking a master planning process of land annexed bythe city in 1989 to foster the development of a true community, rather than an agglomeration of subdivisionsand strip malls.
