Once a favorite relaxation spot for Franklin Delano Roosevelt before his presidency began, F.D. Roosevelt State Park has beautiful vistas located all over the park's 9,000 acres. Overnight stays in one of the park's campsites or cottages allow for multi-day explorations of the park's many attractions. Two lakes open for boating and fishing, 40 miles of hiking trails, horse paths and picnic grounds make the park popular throughout the summer. It's situated on the west side of the state about 28 miles north of Columbus.
